Effective questioning brings insight, which fuels curiosity, which cultivates wisdom. – Chip Bell

Counseling is the process of assisting and guiding clients by a trained professional, to resolve personal, social, or psychological problems and difficulties. The counsellor helps you to address your problems in a positive way by helping you to clarify the issues, explore options, develop strategies and increase self-awareness.

Online Counseling / Online therapy, also known as e-therapy, e-counseling, or teletherapy, involves providing counselling services and support over the telephone / internet. Online counseling can take place over a number of different mediums including e-mail, video conferencing, phone call, text messaging, online chat, depending on what you would prefer.

While online therapy presents some challenges, it has received support from many clients who have utilized online counseling. Studies have shown that counseling through video conferencing reported high levels of satisfaction and they are as effective as face to face sessions (Barak et al., 2008; Richards and Vigano, 2013; Zeren et al., 2020).

Some of the benefits of online therapy are reduced travel time and flexibility to select the hours and days that suit you. Being in a familiar environment may enable you to express yourself freely and to discuss personal issues more openly. You may also choose to work with a counselor from outside your location.

Counseling is helpful when you go through situations like:
1. Conflict or stress at work.
2. Loneliness, anxiety or stress.
3. Trauma due to death of a dear one.
4. When you have to take difficult decisions, such as a career choice or marriage.
5. When children show excessive aggression, moody behavior or lack of interest in studies.

You can discuss about any challenge you are facing in life. It can be about relationships with others, marriage, parenting, career goals, academics, social interactions, friends, self-esteem, confidence etc. Our Counselors are here to listen and help.

The counseling is different and differs from case-to-case as each individual is unique. Generally the duration of counseling is discussed in the first meeting. Each counseling session takes around 45 minutes.

You can get counselling in three ways:
1. Exchanging messages with your counselor
2. Speaking over the phone with your counselor
3. Video conferencing with your counselor

Every conversation during the counseling is kept private and confidential. The only exception to this is when it is legally necessary to share the contents of the meeting.
